far too many holes in his bulgy little head
stuffing brain a’ leakin’ out all over the bed
he’s never straight and never tall no matter how he sits
his ears are squint, his arms are stumps, he can’t get shoes that fit
but someone hears him when he cries
someone dries his off-set eyes
someone mends his ears again
someone loves his fluffy brain
his father was a hamster and his mother was a bear
and him, the pink reminder of a sordid affair
his legs are rather bendy and his insides won’t stay in
his smile the only thing that kept him out of the bin
they didn’t pay attention when they threw on his nose
more important things to make than him i suppose
they say his head is far too big for one with no neck
and he thinks his seams are bursting but he’s too scared to check
he sees some people laughing through his squinty little eye
and carries home his lumpy heart pretending not to cry
he stains his tiny sofa with the die from his tears
but deep inside his fluffy brain he knows someone hears
